BlogBridge Service is a web service that supports and enhances our BlogBridge Desktop client, our high end aggregator. The relationship between BlogBridge Desktop and BlogBridge Service can be confusing to understand.
Here’s an analogy to clarify. Think of the BlogBridge Service a little like your cable TV or satellite service. In that analogy, BlogBridge Desktop is like your TV set. At least here in the US, you can buy a TV, hook it up to an antenna and watch TV all day long without paying anything more. However many people sign up for example for cable which makes the TV set much more useful. In the analogy, BlogBridge Service is the cable provider.
So, go ahead and download and use BlogBridge desktop. It’s totally free and works quite well all by itself. But if you want to take advantage our Synchronization, Reading List Publishing, Post to blog and other goodies, you need to sign up for the service.
Now there are several service plans each meant for a certain kind of user. The good news is that there is a Free service plan that everyone should sign up for because it offers basic syncing for totally free. So go ahead and do that now. Look at the step by step instructions for you to follow to sign up.
The other plans are not free (but still very cheap!). Take a look at what they offer and what they cost and decide whether you should upgrade to another level.
