“BlogBridge just doesn’t stop, they keep innovating RSS reading, now they have released a product where you can become the feed master…here is the insightful post about BlogBridge : Library.” (from Library Clips)
John Tropea of Library clips wrote a really good commentary on BlogBridge: Library.
“Essentially you are making your own library of feeds (browse by category)…this is like making your own blog directory, I wonder if you can graze the feeds (try before you buy), I wonder if you can make river of news digests…it seems you can package the feeds in a category in OPML.” (from Library Clips)
In answer to John’s question about river of news digests: this is planned! Let me be clear though: BlogBridge:Library is not going to be an aggregator (with all that implies). It is a library or directory.
The purpose of including current RSS posts on the page is to (in John’s words) “try before you buy.” That is, look at a sample of the content before you actually subscribe in your aggregator of choice.
Let’s say you come across a feed that you never heard of before in a library. A great way to figure out if you actually want to subscribe to it is to preview the current set of posts.
Also, John correctly intuits: every category and subcategory of feeds in BlogBridge: Library is also available as an OPML Reading List. And again, so that you can try before you buy, you should see the aggregated set of posts currently available on those feeds. A river of news.
