Twittering from more than one account
As you might have heard, we are now listening on Twitter channel @blogbridge to give you assistance and support. As you also may know, I have my own Twitter account, @pitosalas.
Sometimes I tweet on my own behalf (’the weather in Curacao is hot’) and sometimes I tweet on BlogBridge’s behalf (’can I help solve your problem?’) This poses a bit of a logistical challenge for me.
Question: In our design of the new Twitter features in BlogBridge, we are considering allowing you to declare more than one Twitter account, and when you tweet, indicate with one click which account(s) you want to use. How useful would this be to you?
Question: Absent (or until) BlogBridge, what is the best practice for someone who needs to do this, or is this something that no sane person needs to do?
Question: Do you even think that having a separate @BlogBridge twitter account is a good or bad idea?
Send me your answers through twitter, a comment, an email, a skype, or a personal call

Hi Pito,
1. Yes, managing multiple accounts is necessary for a lot of folks and useful.
2. A client app like Thwirl is the only way I know how to manage multiple accounts with out multiple browsers. One would guess the @blogbridge would have fewer updates than your personal account.
3. I think its a good idea.
No one wants to maintain multiple status accounts on different networks. Delivering a solution that enables people to choose where they want to post content is valuable. For instance, my Twitter account updates my Facebook status. I have friends, family, business contacts and high school people I haven’t seen in years in my Facebook friends. I like Twitter to converse with tech/Internet crowd so “Worlds collide” when I post business content to homemakers and fraternity brothers- its not relevant to them.
Being able click a checkbox as to who (what network) should get what post be great.
Good luck.

I think it would be great to have two accounts. That way one can be for business and one for friends and family. Let’s face it our family and friends don’t really want to hear office talk or shop talk! And dishing with your family about what you are going to buy Uncle Joe for a present is more info than workmates need.
