I’m really pleased to be able to introduce you to Andrew Barrow who is bringing us 3 new Expert Reading Lists, for Food, Wine, and (here’s a new term for me:) Food Porn. Apparently Foodies out there are familiar with the the expression, which, Andrew assures me is nothing more than photographs of food. Which is a good thing because we don’t have an objectionable content filter yet in BlogBridge
As you can see, Andrew is the editor of quite a food blogging empire, where is writes on Food and Wine on two blogs, as well as having an email newsletter dedicated to bringing the very latest news and reviews from the wine and drinks world.
Here are Andrew’s expert reading lists, with his own introduction to each. Notice the new icon , to denote a link to a reading list. Here are instructions for using such a reading list in BlogBridge.
There are hundreds of food related blogs - from simple ‘what I had for dinner’ type writings through to near proffessioanl writers flirting with book deals. These are six top blogs from around the world. Plus one. There are a plethora of food blog related events across the world encompasing photo competitions, recipe swops, offline meet-ups and food parcel exchanges. Is My Blog Burning was set-up as a central repositry to detail them all.

Because of the more specialist nature of wine - in comparison to food - there are less decent blogs around. The style ranges from simple concise tasting notes through to the niche discussion of packaging for those within the trade. A couple combine a love of food with that of wine, which is what I am trying to do with spittoon. Those I have selected here cover a broad range of wines rather than specialising on narrow subjects thus broadening their appeal. One, wine cast, offers regular podcasts.

It is photography all the way here with the writing, alhough of excllent quality, often taking a back seat to the images. I have included SpittoonExtra.biz here, which is my own site, where, amongst other blog-events, Foodography, the monthly photography challange themes are announced.
