  1. The front page needs a big, huge DOWNLOAD button. I had to hunt for the link to this page.

  2. Your linux download, the *.tgz file seems corrupt. I’m using fedora core 4 on x86.

    Here is what I get when I try to unpack:

    [hans@localhost workspace]$ tar -xzvf blogbridge-2.7.tgz
    tar: This does not look like a tar archive
    tar: Skipping to next header
    tar: Archive contains obsolescent base-64 headers

    gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
    tar: Child returned status 1
    tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

  3. Why you doesn’t write size of file for downloading?

    Comment by Akademic — November 14, 2005 @ 3:49 am

  4. Nolan, we had one and we will put it back again.

    John, I guess, everything is fine now?

    Akademic, hm, not really sure why. Perhaps because we don’t have a centralized downloads page. I guess once we have one the size will become an essential part of it.

  11. Installation problem:
    * started installer using ‘run as …’ with administartor rights
    * Installation OK, BB started

    A)
    * I left BB and started again as a user with restricted rights
    * All preferences are lost!

    B)
    * I started BB using ‘run as …’ with admin rights
    * All preferences are lost!

    Classical workaround would be to put the restricted user for the installation into the local administrator group.

    What to do? Pls. shoot me a message.

    PS: Some other problems

    Smart Feed:
    * Flickr didn’t show me pictures
    * Flickr didn’t show me pictures if I defined more than one tag
    * Pictures in a blog containing nice women were shown first but afterwards I only saw some kind of a super mini icon … no not the super mini pictures :-(

  14. guetzal, now you can take plain ZIP archive with Mac OS X application (see Downloads page). Just open it and drag the application wherever you wish.

  15. ehtron, you can take generic TGZ archive with application and use it. Please check Downloads page.

  16. Just in case anyone else runs into this:

    On some linux distros (like Ubuntu), the GNU version of Java is pre-installed. With that, Blogbridge throws a “Cannot load AWT toolkit” error. Simply installing the JRE from Sun doesn’t help. You also have to tell the system to use Sun’s java by calling

    update-alternatives –config java

  18. I have been looking for a good Desktop based aggregator and I have found that BlogBridge matches my tastes suitably well. (Does that make me geeky?)

    I have just installed BlogBridge and I must say I am highly impressed! Expect a detailed review on my blog soon!! Not that I am on the A-list, but hey what the heck, good things are meant to be appreciated!

    Regards,

  24. Ralph and Cristian, no sooner someone wishes to help us with translation. No one from us knows Spanish. Refer to the Development section on this site to learn how could you contribute the translation if you wish to help. We would love to get as many translators as possible. Of course, they will be officially mentioned in the product.
